Jack Beaton    
    I am a cross-trained user experience and interaction designer, with a background in user research, software development, and project management. In my spare time, I'm either looking after horses (easier than it sounds) or traveling to visit friends.

I currently research interface designs at Carnegie Mellon University, evaluating and recommending redesigns to the SAP Enterprise SOA interfaces. My focus is on software-as-a-service, from an interaction design perspective. I also do user experience design for local startups. I prefer deeply interactive designs that require human insight.

My papers can be found at ICSE 2008 (Leipzig) and the upcoming VL/HCC 2008 (Herrsching am Ammersee).		 My work is moving faster than this portfolio website's design, which is now out of date. Even so, I'm interested in new challenges and opportunities.
