A portfolio website is a traditional creation by all CMU Masters of HCI graduates. Like all my classmates, I wanted my site to not only be visibly unique, but also to contain a similar array of content as those of many of my classmates. This may seem like a difficult combination. In addition, I know that every site is an advertisement for its content. I then learned from the principles of Madison Avenue's famous David Ogilvy, and structured the content of the site so that readers with varying amounts of time can still receive enough content to satisfy them relative to the effort they expend reading.		I also believe that if the content is strong enough, it should structure itself. Empty space will occupy the mind of the viewer, even if there's no cost in paper. The Infinite Canvas of Scott McCloud is only worthwhile if you truly need that vastness. For these reasons I patterned my site after newspapers; each page's content is snug and consistent.
