NASA PROPHET Management
I was elected by my team to serve as their project manager during the capstone project of our year at Carnegie Mellon, stretching across two semesters from January to August 2007. During the summer, this was our full-time job.

It was my responsibility to provide a stern and stable keel for the progression of the project, advocating solid deadlines and holding us to them when necessary.

In addition, to serve my team, I developed a broad network of contacts, negotiating the access to subject matter experts, user tests, and other resources my team needed to focus on their work.
My other responsibilities included the representation of my team to our clients at the NASA Ames HCI Group, and to our professors, Brad Myers and Sue Fussell.

The PROPHET project, to design a handheld interface for problem reporting by NASA technicians, provided us all with extensive experience. Other aspects of the project include aerospace ethnography and the design of the handheld itself.
