Minglebot Website
As our final project for our design class under Herbert Spencer, we were charged with creating an innovative website layout. I decided to create a visually compelling website for the Minglebot, another project featured elsewhere within this portfolio.

I decided that this ambitious project, made in a new and untraditional design space, should have an equally untraditional design, making use of Scott McCloud's conception of an Infinite Canvas, to communicate the vast and open horizons that social robotics enjoys today.

I also wanted to assert that social robotics is an inherently interdisciplinary field.
The resulting site is built upon a logical and consistent grid system that follows lines representing the three critical specialties - hardware, software, and social engineering - that must be explicitly addressed to ensure success.

Through use of a map-like spatial design, the minds of the viewers perceive visual structure not just in what they see, but what they no longer see, and have yet to see.
